Outpatient drug rehab is long term and uses techniques that include a wide range of approaches including specialized therapies such as insight-oriented psychotherapy, problem-solving groups, cognitive-behavioral therapy and 12-step programs. Individuals that attend an outpatient drug rehab programs do not reside at the drug rehab as they would an inpatient drug rehab.
